Brieanne Hill, known by many as Brie, is a parent leader driven by a passion for advocacy and family engagement. Throughout her career, Brie worked on family engagement within a school in the Waterbury and Washington CT communities, always aiming to build connections and develop relationships with the main focus of building equity. Born and raised in Danbury, CT, Brieanne was a member of the NAACP growing up, volunteering for State Representative Lew Wallace which broadened her knowledge around civic engagement. Brieanne has over twenty-three years of experience working in the non-profit sector. She began a long career serving folks with disabilities, where she quickly developed the skills to become a leader within the organization.
Over the years, Brie transitioned into various roles and gained experience in providing direct care, residential and program management, licensing, and nonprofit administration. Throughout Brie’s career, she has been fortunate to excel within her job being promoted often within her position to a leadership level; she is especially proud of the personal accomplishment of receiving a parent leadership award from the City of Waterbury in her work with Children’s Community School. Outside of work, Brie is passionate about uplifting her children in their educational and sporting pursuits. Brie believes in pouring into others as she has had the opportunity to have influential people pour into her and dedicates time through the board service of a few non-profits and volunteering.
