For years, grassroots organizers and small business owners around Waterbury have identified the lack of available meeting, networking, and working space to be a major reason that progress is slow to develop. The People's Place is a collaborative vision of local organizers and small business owners committed to building political and economic power among residents in the brass city.

Waterbury Empowers the People to Act (WEPA) is a resident-led action group committed to strengthening the power and presence of Latine residents in local efforts for change and social justice.

It's Time Waterbury (ITW) is a brass-roots community collaborative that focuses on making electoral and policy politics transparent and accessible to Waterbury residents.

Waterbury Strong Community Collective (WSCC) is a community action agency that addresses the existing systems that disproportionately affect the black community with the intent to foster an ecosystem that is beneficial and fair for all people.

Brass City Gamers (BCG) is a non-profit agency that engages disenfranchised and underserved communities through esports education programs that equip and prepare residents for STEAM career opportunities in the esports industry.
